Come and have a relaxing getaway at our cottage located on the historic New River with picturesque Grayson County VA as your backdrop. Whether you are looking for a romantic get away, family vacation, relaxation away from the hustle and bustle, or an outdoor adventure, our house on the New River is the place for you! Be sure to bring your fishing gear and take advantage of some great small mouth bass or try your luck at a musky! Located on a working cattle farm that has been in our family for generations, your closest neighbors may be a few cows grazing in the pasture or a couple laying chickens running around. The wrap around front porch is a great place to take in the beautiful views of the New River or just sip coffee as you watch the sun come up (or set for you late sleepers).
The cottage is fully furnished with linens and towels provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook in or you can take advanatage of some of the great restaurants in the area. A gas grill is provided to help you enjoy those great summer evenings as you get dinner ready.
Access to a large private river lot comes with the cottage and is within a short walk or can be driven to (weather permitting).
Check in is at 4:00 pm and check out is at 10:00 am.

Pets are welcome as long as they are under control and are good with other animals. A $40 pet fee will be charged per visit for up to two pets. An additional fee of $25 per pet after that will be charged. As mentioned above, the cottage is located on a working cattle farm and the adjoining pastures may have cattle in them when you visit.
Inflatable tubes (4) are provided with the house for some lazy day floating on the New River along with Corn Hole Boards for the competitive folks. We also have an outdoor fire pit to help you enjoy those late evenings soaking up the peace and quiet with a few marshmallows. Additionally, 2 bikes are provided if you prefer to take a scenic ride along the river.

Our cottage is located within a short drive of many of the areas natural attractions including, Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers (Highest peak in VA), The Virginia Creeper Trail, The New River Trail and Matthews State Park. All of these areas are great for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding for you outdoor adventure enthusiasts. You can also check out the areas rich musical heritage via The Crooked Road Music Trail, The Blue Ridge Music Center, and the Galax Fiddlers Convention.
