Apartment that feels like a home in historic 100 year old Sears Roebuck kit farmhouse nestled in the trees. Country private feel but located only 2 miles from hospitals, grocery stores, Starbucks, Interstates 5 and 205, and the Clark County Fairgrounds. Quiet residential neighborhood with walkable streets. 8 miles to the "new" Vancouver Waterfront with winery tasting rooms, restaurants and parks. Portland airport and downtown Portland are 20-25 minutes away (traffic permitting), and the beauty of the northwest is all around! The Columbia River Gorge, state and national parks, the Pacific ocean, lakes and waterfalls, are all with a few hours drive (or less) and waiting for you to explore! Wineries, fine dining, casino, fun dive bars, antique stores, golf, summer concerts in the park, mountain hikes, kayaking, waterfalls are all close (and I'll provide you a great locals list of recommendations!).
The living space is on one floor. The kitchen has beautiful historic details but includes modern conveniences. Hardwood floors in the great room style living and dining room with a cozy gas fireplace. The bathroom is charming with a lighted make-up mirror and tile shower (no bathtub). The bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser with plenty of drawers, and space for hanging clothes. Your private porch is the length of the house. Large picture glass windows look out to peaceful trees. There are 5 steps at the entrance of the house and a full flight to get to the washer/dryer. Enjoy the grill available on the patio shared space.
The apartment has it's own entrance and living space; the home has 3 apartments with no sharing of space except the washer/dryer area. The guests in the other apartments are long-term. There is a porch for your use exclusively, and a large patio and garden open to all of the inhabitants though rarely used.

Pet fee of $200 (for up to 1 pre-approved dog) will be added to reservation through a 'Special Offer' at the time of booking. Some breeds may be restricted due to insurance. This apartment is not child friendly, although rare exceptions may be made.
Notes: This is a personal home - I am an experienced host and it will have a true vacation rental feel - but there will be some personal items and closed off areas (the garage, some or the closets and cabinets). We can't guarantee internet/cable TV service since that is not within our control. House entrance has a ring camera that records outside audio and video 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Coffee and other consumable items are provided for up to 3-5 days - guests for longer stays will need to re-stock these items. Heating and A/C is centralized house-wide, in addition this apartment has a gas fireplace and space heater for individual comfort. Central house heating thermostat is set for the comfort of all 3 apartments. This is a wonderful quiet residential neighborhood with neighbors we know and love, please respect the house and the neighbors! $75 cancellation fee.
