With amazing views outside your door to enjoy with your family or friends having a late breakfast, barbequing or hiking in this lush place surrounded by a pine and aspen forest, this Majestic Retreat invites you to chill out, rest and meditate away from your busy life. If you are coming to embrace all the possible events, you will be less than 5 minutes from Deadwood and its steakhouses and main attractions, as well as other historic towns of the Northern part of the Black Hills area. We are only eighteen minutes from Sturgis and Spearfish towns, and 45 minutes from Mt Rushmore and all the Black Hills attractions. Also, you are just an hour and fifteen minutes away from Devils tower in WY.
On the other hand, if what you are looking for is a quiet place to finish your book or your personal project, this clean & quiet studio is the perfect place for you at any season. For winter lovers, this cozy and warm place is just 20 minutes away from Terry Peak and Spearfish Canyon where you can find great ski and snowboard amenities for families.
For your convenience, we are an hour from the Rapid City airport, from where you will be taking the I-90 all the way to exit 30. Take exit 30 for US-14A/Lazelle Street toward Deadwood/Lead. Continue on and enjoy the beautiful scenery on 14A for 9.9 miles towards Deadwood. Turn left on Mattson Lane gravel road and then after Whiskey Barrel Ranch main gate turn right on Majestic Heights road. Follow this road for a minute and it will take you to our Majestic Court Road, where our friendly bear will welcome you at the entrance. Continue on the gravel driveway where you will find a spacious place to park your vehicles.
AMENITIES
The Majestic Retreat Studio is suitable for four adults or a family of two adults with children. Our studio consists of a large open living area with a queen-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed, a wide screen TV, DVD player, videos, games and books for the avid reader. We can provide a single inflatable mattress for an extra guest for an additional fee.
The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a two-burner induction cooktop, toaster, coffee maker, a juicer, dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots and pans, basic utensils and condiments. The three-quarter bathroom includes fresh towels and toiletry essentials.
There is ample parking available for several vehicles or a vehicle with an attached trailer. Our gravel roads are well-maintained, but due to the gravel two-wheel road bikes are not recommended.
Guests will find the front entrance to the studio suitable for grilling or sitting down to enjoy the views. (Grill and lawn chairs are available upon request. There is $5 fee for the grill.)
Upon departure, we ask that guests wash their dishes, place sheets and pillowcases
in the laundry basket, and dispose of all garbage in the container placed near the entrance door.
