Downtown Asheville which is minutes away was not damaged either. Most of the breweries, shops, and restaurants there have reopened. The Biltmore reopened in November, and parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville are open. To encourage people to return to the mountains, a significant discount is being offered.
