White Oak Haven II is conveniently located very close to the campus of Southern Adventist University which specializes in vegan and vegetarian cuisine, some of the best hiking and mountain biking trails in southeast TN and a state-of-the art Wellness Center that provides community access for a few dollars a day to pools, weightlifting and cardio equipment, an indoor climbing wall, frisbee golf course, tennis courts and more.
With its own private entrance and three parking spaces, this basement apartment has easy, level walk-in access. Inside is a comfortable, open kitchen/living room floor plan that allows for warm conversations to flow easily as meals are prepared and shared. The full, open-concept kitchen includes a granite counter with 3 barstools and includes all the appliances and cookware guests need. The kitchen overlooks the living room area with comfortable seating. The master bedroom includes a king bed, walk-in closet and a private tub/shower master bathroom with all linens: towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets provided. Down the hall on the other side of the apartment is the second bedroom with its two twin beds. This is a configuration of space that can be great for families: providing parents some privacy and space from their children….close, but not too close! The second guest bathroom also opens into the hallway, again all linens provided. It too is a tub/shower combo.
With Chattanooga commonly nicknamed “Gig City,” known for its blazing fast internet, this home provides 1 GB of high-speed internet, accommodating all the media devices guest may bring. There are 2 tvs in the house: living room and master bedroom for our guests enjoyment.
Enjoy the gorgeous view of beautiful native trees, plants and flowers of TN in the spacious backyard as you look out the large dining room windows or make yourself comfortable sitting on the outdoor deck. Often, you will see grazing deer, owls, a variety of other birds and wildlife in the early morning or near sunset. Outside, only a few hundred feet from this home is the White Oak Mountain trail system--some of the best mountain biking and hiking in Tennessee. Bring your hiking shoes and bikes! This is a 2-unit house. The upper second and third levels of the house are divided from this separate basement apartment on the first floor. The upper house is also often rented out to guests as vacation space as well. There is no inside access between the upper house and the basement apartment. With no stairs connecting these two areas, the unit is separate and private.
The insulation between the floors is very thick. It's unlikely that the two parties will hear each other.
