Biking, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, craft breweries, distilleries, wineries, historical sites like Valley Forge and several iron furnaces, antiquing, Amish country tours, and farm stands are just a few of the the fun things to do nearby.
Explore Lancaster County Amish country including Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand. Enjoy a visit to Lancaster Sight and Sound. Tour Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. Antique to your heart's content in Adamstown - Antique Capital USA. Explore local historical sites like Joanna and Hopewell Iron Furnaces or take a longer drive and tour Valley Forge National Park.
Hike, bike, or kayak in French Creek State Park or Marsh Creek State Park. Hiking and biking are also available on our local network of 'rails to trails'. We are located in Northern Chester County known for being 'horse country' so take a trail ride at one of our local trail riding stables.

(The original part of the house was built in the 1870's by a cabinet maker. A modern frame addition was added in 1997 by a previous owner. The house is part of the Elverson Historic District registered on the National Register of Historic Places.)
Sink into one of the club chairs in our sitting room with your favorite cocktail and enjoy a game of checkers, chess or backgammon on our game table next to the original fireplace (non-working). This is also a great place to relax and read a book.
Our modern kitchen is equipped with gas stove, microwave, cooking pots and pans, toaster oven, utensils, Keurig coffee machine and wine and cocktail glasses.
And the kitchen is open to the family room with its comfy cozy sectional. Here plenty of pillows and throws invite you to curl up, relax and enjoy a movie on the wall mounted TV, play a game or put together a puzzle.
Upstairs are three bedrooms - a master with en suite bathroom and queen bed, another bedroom with full size bed and TV, and a third bedroom in the historic part of the home with queen size bed. The second and third bedroom share the garden themed hall bath.
There is also a dedicated workspace for business travelers and guests working remotely. The owners are recovering network engineers and once used this building as an office/training center so you can rely on high speed access for your work needs.
A small non-fenced yard with a huge maple tree is at the rear of the home.
The owners live on the property in a separate building just across the yard.
Off-street parking is available in our parking lot next to the home. Well-behaved dog(s) accompanied by a responsible owner are welcome upon approval with pet fee & signed addendum.
