Newly renovated duplex home with 4bed/2bath located in a safe & friendly centrally located community. The entire place is the definition of modern & cozy happy with stylish accents, plush furnishings & quality linens. It features considerate pops of color & gold accents throughout the home.
This fully equipped home offers high speed WiFi, tamper-resistant outlets, Smart TVs & cookware.
The Space:
This home is shows off with modern upgrades. New bathroom fixtures, new countertops, new interior doors, salt lamps, essential oils, allergy-conscious space. Open living and dining area; Couches in the living room are comfy and relaxing. TV is mounted on the wall. There is also a desk for working.
Sleep gracefully on the plush new mattresses and choose between two cooling pillows and two polys filled, overstuffed pillows to rest your head and body while you sleep, slumber, relax, etc.
Although I love when families spend time together in the living room, the larger bedroom has its own 20-inch TV with Roku installed. The other two bedrooms has its own 32-inch smart TV installed. Each mounted TV has ability to be moved slightly to a comfortable position for your viewing pleasure.
The kitchen is equipped with essential items for preparing meals. Anything preferential can be purchased at the nearby grocery store. (Food King is closet, Walmart grocery and Walmart Super center are nearby).
Extra towels are located in the hall closet, along with broom, Swiffer sweeper, and baby items (pack-n-play all-in-one w bassinet, changing table, foldable high chair, baby tub). Extra linen is also in the hall closet (just in case, and/or for the couch bed).
Full Washer, Dryer and refrigerator. Brand new cooler pours cold air into the place to keep cool during hot El Paso summers. The gas heating kicks in strong to keep the place nice and warm during winter weather.
All rooms feature dimmable lighting except the bathroom. However, the bathroom does have an anti-fog mirror. Be sure to tap that feature before you shower! Oh- and the toilet seat is glow-in-the-dark, just in case it's late when you have to ... and the lights hurt your eyes too much ;)
The recessed lighting has two modes: Regular, dimmable lighting; and a rim-lit mode. To access the rim-lit mode, turn off the lights and then a few seconds later, turn on the lights.
The house gets cleaned thoroughly between visits, including light switches, doorknobs, and common use items.
Guest Access:
Park in the driveway. Comfortably fits two cars.
A code will be sent to you just before check-in. This code will last the entirety of your stay and will expire a few hours after checkout.
The Neighborhood:
Family friendly and Quiet neighborhood with schools nearby. The neighborhood pool is a few steps to the left (facing property) and a nice-sized park in walking distance, about 1/2 a block to the rear (Sunrise Park).
Sunrise Park is large, with tennis courts, basketball courts, playground, lots of grass, trees & outdoor seating areas.
Nearby grocery and food options are superfluous.
Getting Around:
You may walk to several places, for example, lots of eating options on Dyer St, Hondo Pass Dr and Hercules Ave. There is a Dollar General and a gas station close by, also in walking distance. However, it's a city that is spread out, not up; so I recommend a car, bike or skate board in general for getting around.
You won't have to worry about paying for parking unless you attend an event and need to park in a garage downtown. Other than that, it's a polite city where parking is mostly free!
The bus stations are close too.
Other Things to Note:
Please do not smoke in my house.
Tell Alexa to turn your lights off - or dim them to 30%. Play music, etc. Be sure to play with the Alexa around the home.
There is also an Echo Show in case you want to use it to watch videos, check-in with family/friends via video chat, etc. Have fun with it, but also be gentle with the items.
The "gaming system" is a retro games console that mimics Nintendo of the 80s. It is not an actual modern Nintendo. It features several games from the 90s and operates similar to the experience back then! I sat and got distracted for hours playing 8-bit Contra lol! To pick a new game, you have to push the RESET button and go back through the list. It's something to play with - enjoy it while you can!
A large community Park is one block down (walking distance, walking is safe). The park has basketball, tennis, playground, shaded tables, benches, open areas, trees.
A neighborhood pool is one house away. Camp Cohen Waterpark is about 5 mins away. We have larger, thicker towels provided just in case you want to do water activities.
Camp Cohen Waterpark is rated best in the city for the slides (high school students tested water slides). Lol it’s true though. There are a few water parks in the city, but people come from other parts of town to be at this one.
Soooo many food options are within 1-2 miles radius. Food from different cultures, restaurants and fast food. The grocery store is easy to find and is very close to the house.
El Paso has a few Local breweries. Check out the Tinman.
