Our ranch is located approximately 8 miles north of Weatherford, Texas (Parker County). The Farmhouse is a100 year old updated 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom house on 130 acres. It offers clean, comfortable accommodations for up to 4 guests. Our family began their dairy here in 1929.
The Farmhouse is located near another small rental which accommodates 2 guests, and the swimming pool is shared with the other rental. There is a large attached patio with a fire place and pellet grill.
The Farmhouse is fully furnished with central heat/air, large TVs in the living room and bedrooms, free wifi, kitchen, washer/dryer and drip coffee maker. There are lots of windows with beautiful views of the ranch and cattle, and an antique wood burning stove in the living room. There is a bedroom with a king size bed with half bath, and another bedroom with a full size bed, and another full bathroom. The bedrooms have nice linens and ceiling fans. The kitchen is a full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, electric range and dishwasher.
(No smoking is allowed inside the house and all guests use the pool at their own risk.)
We are available on-site, upon request, to assure your comfort, but we also respect your privacy during your stay.
The ranch is a beautiful setting with 2 ponds and 130 acres. There are also free-range chickens and a retired rodeo horse named "Shaggy." We are 30 miles from Fort Worth and Granbury, 15 miles from Springtown and 50 miles from Glen Rose. We are less than 10 minutes from historic Weatherford which offers many shops, antiques, restaurants and wineries nearby.
We do allow a pet under 30 pounds but must be approved in advance. Since we have free range chickens, a pet must be leashed when outside. We do not allow a pet to be left alone in the house, so if you leave, you will need to take with you or crate. Since the pool has a liner, no pet is allowed in the swimming pool.
